Another random thought I had while watching TSOW:
I really hope Zelda made her husband clean up the mess in their living room.
When he looks at me, he does not know how I am incomplete. He sees me… as I am.

Sorry for the sudden deluge (heh) of The Shape of Water posts! I really enjoyed the movie and need to indulge a bit. :p
Anything potentially spoilery going forward will be tagged TSOW spoilers, and I’ll try to remember to tag until February-ish since the release dates are getting so drawn out.

Guillermo is such an inspiration to me right now, honestly. Unapologetic and earnest and honest: “this is what moves me, these beautiful images speak to my heart on a deep level, this subject matter is worthy of my highest artistry.”
I love monster romance more than anything else, but I get embarrassed by how very much I love it. I don’t trust my ability to make people understand it or see it the way I do. I downplay its impact on me.
The goal is to get to a place where you trust in what moves you, what you find beautiful, as much and as shamelessly as Guillermo does. To trust in your ability to communicate the way it makes you feel. To make deeply personal projects. He is my hero.
