TIL The South Pole experiences a 6-month period of darkness, during which scientists at the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station have a tradition of watching The Thing, a movie about a humanoid alien who attacks an Arctic research outpost.

that’s the last time and place i wanna be watching the thing

Oh, it’s not just during the long night.

It’s *immediately* after the last flight goes out and there’s no possibility of evac until spring.

Life has a nasty habit to sneak up on you and devouring months of your life without you noticing… doesn’t it?

Over the past couple of weeks, I was leisurely working on a little comic. So if you are into mediocre writing and inconsistent art style, oh boy you’re in for a treat! I wanted to do some original work in between my fanart stuff. It’s loosely based on slavic folklore. VERY loosely.  To be honest, it was just an excuse to draw some self-indulgent story. Also, you can expect quite *read: very* NSFW smut later on. Those pages will be posted under a cut. I plan to update it twice a week.

I am currently planning a few other long-term projects I hope I’ll be able to deliver. Also, I am considering opening a patreon campaign to help me pay my rent. If you have any thought about that, feel free to let me know.

Well, I hope you’ll all enjoy this silly project, as much as I enjoyed working on it. 🙂

Hot adulting tip: make a “responsibilitysona” and roleplay them when you have chores to do

#this is Neurotypical Karen and she enjoys having good sleep hygeine & returning phone calls (via @deadpanwalking)

I find that if I’m wearing Real Adult Business Clothes my worksona can do things like call people and check my inbox, whereas pajamas hellen mostly wants to shovel hamburgers into her face and set things on fire.
