If you are able to it’s very important that you see Deadpool this weekend

Fox did not want to do this movie, did not want to make it R-rated, and did not want to make Deadpool pansexual

Fans forced them into making the movie after footage was leaked and everyone insisted they wanted the movie made but Fox still had reservations: they gave them very little money to make the movie, insisted that it be PG-13, and wanted Deadpool straight

Fans then forced them with more pressure to make it rated R and they capitulated but they were still too scared to make Deadpool pansexual

Rhett Reese, co-writer of the script, was tweeting less than a year ago about how Deadpool would be heterosexual and once again the fans stepped in and put a lot of pressure on the studio to the point where the director, Tim Miller, stepped in to make changes and so desperately wanted us to calm down that in an interview in which he wasn’t even questioned about Deadpool’s sexuality he yells out “Pansexual! I want that quoted. Pansexual Deadpool.”

It’s no secret or speculation that Fox and other studios are playing close attention to how well the opening weekend does to see if any of this will be lucrative. Not only listening to the fans in general, or having an R-rated superhero movie, but having sexual and gender minorities be in superhero films

Yes, a second movie has already been approved and Tim Miller said he wants to explore Deadpool’s sexuality further in it and Ryan Reynolds said he wants Deadpool to date a man in it but they will only get away with it if they can convince Fox that the people who are boycotting are a very small minority

We got close to having a bisexual Spiderman (sort of) by having people who work on the film showing an interest in making him bisexual but the studio wouldn’t take the chance and perhaps this is because of all the backlash from bigots who threatened to boycott

We have to be bigger and better than the people who are boycotting because everyone is watching

As someone in the industry, I will just say this. If you want this movie to succeed, go with friends, bring a date, bring your office mates, bring an enemy. Tweet about it. Demographics are very important and noticed. Women don’t need to make up half the audience of a superhero movie to be considered “a huge hit with women!” it’s so sad, the numbers they get excited over.

And make sure that the second weekend is strong too. That is HUGE. Movies fall in the second weekend, almost always, but how far they fall is a MAJOR factor in whether they’re considered a success or not. 

Deadpool won’t be aired in China. That is a massive loss of potential revenue. International fans, make sure you see it, demand it at your local theaters, to make up for the loss of China. 

I saw Deadpool a couple days ago, and I’ll just say that I haven’t laughed that much at a movie in a very long time. Like, for most movies I don’t have particular favorite moments, even if I really enjoyed the movie, but with this one there were so many things that I just absolutely loved and can’t help smiling about anytime I think of them.

I’m definitely thinking about going to see it again next weekend.
