Weapon X chose Wade Wilson because of several factors in his life. He was a preternatural. He had extraordinary abilities that could be expanded upon. The cancer just made him desperate enough to agree to whatever they wanted to do with him.
They didn’t just turn him immortal. They destroyed his very soul, tearing him apart and shaping him into something new and never seen before. They took everything he had been and left him with ashes and bones. Soulless.
He killed his creators and went on with his life.
Then he met Spider-Man.
Things started to change.
Something inside him, something that had come out of the ashes and was a nightmarish, terrible thing, sat up and took notice. An intense, single-minded notice.
I stuck it on Ao3 cuz why the fuck not. It’s a one-shot. Might as well.
Guyyyyyyssss this is so good. I am loving everyone’s post-TLJ kylux takes, and this one delivers. I’m so invested in well-constructed getting together stories, and I’m really floored by this particular fic.
Kylo Ren’s POV is complicated, quixotic and believable. I love the way he approaches his relationship with Hux, and his daydreams/Force visions. He seems like a person finally coming into their own, and it works really well. He’s at once insecure and self-congratulatory. He’s working out the kinks. His conflicted inability to look directly at the world and at Hux is delightful. All and all, this is a good and toothsome read. And the language is deft and lovely.
Warning for suicidal actions (Hux), and some vague dubcon. But neither is gatuitous.

MERRY CRISIS NERDS, HERE’S SOME MORE POST-TLJ KYLUX.
after the events of the movie, the real Graves comes to check on Credence, to speak with him and see if he’s okay, only to find that Credence – betrayed and untrusting – no longer wants anything to do with him. so, Graves keeps an eye on him from a distance. helps and protects him from afar, does small things to make Credence’s life easier, secretly retaliates against anyone that tries to hurt him. whether he ever reveals himself, or whether Credence comes around, is up to you.
This prompt came into my life and ripped like two handfuls of my own hair out of my damn head.
Anyway, here’s like… 8,000 words or whatever I didn’t edit this and I’m not going to unless someone else comes up with a title and summary and all that AO3-necessary shit. I refuse.
Also there’s, uh, historical references to war, my shitty French, a bunch of OCs, and Newt’s mom. Some random Harry Potter references but like I probably don’t care that much about CANON. And I put Graves through a meat grinder kinda sorta. So if you’re squeamish about the aftermath of torture? Maybe take a hard pass.
This isn’t even shippy.

Past the quays of La Havre, a wind-battered house sits so near to the edge of a cliff that it seems to dare God and Heaven to knock it into the Channel. The few who sail past and spot it joke that the devil must live there — surely he sits along the falaises and stirs the seas with his pitchfork.
A man with long blond hair tied up into a knot at the nape of his neck adjusts his robes as he approached the house. He does not move as though he fears the devil so much as the wind tearing open a recently stitched seam along his sleeve. He knocks on the door.
The woman who answers stands head and shoulders beneath him, with broad shoulders and thick arms that she crosses over her chest. The color of her skin says less about her parentage than the sharpness of her teeth.
“Ça va?”
The man speaks French poorly, “Good morning, Madame! I am here to see Mr. Credence Barebone. He has hired me.”
“Vraiment,” she says, with a smile full of knives.
She steps away, leaving the door open. The man walks into the house, finding it lavishly decorated in a style sixty years out of date. Not a speck of dust or grain of sand can be seen. The man lifts his feet one at a time and spells away the dirt on his shoes with a few whispered words.
“Credence!” the woman shouts at the stairs. “There is a strange man here who says you’re his employer!”
Summary: [Kinktober 2017 series 17] Having a heat during the zombie apocalypse was probably the most terrifying part of the zombie apocalypse, but Peter shouldn’t have been worried about being eaten. He should have worried about being bred.

One sunny afternoon in the mountains of Washington state, Ben Organa-Solo walked out into the woods.
He never came home.

Notes:
written for an enormous number of the @huxloween prompts, but mostly because i wanted to see if i could do it.
this is not my normal fare so please be cautious if you think you need to be. i have extremely explicit spoiler warnings in the end notes if you are worried about being triggered. none of the possibly triggering content is sexual but i am not kidding about the violence and there is some heavy psychological stuff as well. i take tagging very seriously so if you think there is something i haven’t tagged that i should tag please let me know and i will add.
this would not have been what it was without my cheerreaders: @crashwong, @favomancer, @zombiebrainsoup, and @starsshinedarkly77. it certainly would never have become what it is without the incredible editing of @saltandlimes. and it wouldn’t be half as brrrrr without the beautiful art from @chromedqueen. mea maxima culpa for the missing poster, the website, and ruining several songs for all of you forever.
all lyrics copyright their respective writers. sorry mr mccartney.
a seasonally appropriate reblog, because why the hell not. this is the spookiest i have ever been, so far, and it’s a good little story. assuming you like crows.
Summary: Prompt: “Credence Barebone is a cursed man. He only has a human form during Samhain, when the season shifts into dark times, and spends the rest of his days as a horrible monster made of darkness and smoke. But this year, while he has a man’s body, Credence meets someone.”
